One of my dreams as well. NY is one of my favorite cities in the world. I'd love to be in times square as the ball dropped.

New York is certainly a magical place. The energy is amazing and at least once in your life you should experience either NY's Eve or the Fourth of July. Just amazing. Although after 57 years of living next door in NJ I have never experienced NY's Eve, I did experience the celebration for the Statue of Liberty from the World Trade Center's 33rd floor and I will NEVER, EVER forget it.
In other words, your dream is still attainable and would be worth every second and would stay with you for the rest of your life.
