We learned a lot about the life of our friend Hadiza Diori after the military coup on 1974 which over thrown her Dad, and we exchanged pictures of present time, as well we sent her some from the past that we shared...
It is funny to find those back and see what we looked like at that time...
My Sister and Hadiza (as well as other kids) during an afternoon party... They were 6 years old then
Then this picture of her Mom, that we found... taken three years before the coup...
IT has been a Tsunami of souvenirs and memories rolling back on us... We have reconnected with almost 20 old friends all together... We are all dreaming of going back and throw a big party... One of our friend, actually the one who sent us Hadiza email adress is a lawyer there... He was such a bad kid in school (we all were...LOL) and now it is funny to learn that he is THE school Lawyer and is friend with the actual super intendent.. That made us laught, because this guy was the black sheep of the school at the time, and the super intendant then was his worse enemy. He even went to the school to take pictures of our old classrooms, courtyard, etc... It is amazing to see that nothing had changed... everything still the same..
He went to all our respective former home to take picture too...there I had kind of a shock because our home doesn't look like our home any more...
During an exchange of comment on Facebook we all started to remember each other names of friends we lost track of and would like to find back... One name came up at one point : Lola... Lola Bonnabel...

She was one of my best friend and we were together during almost all our school time... and like that, within minuts, one of us posted a comment saying : I just find her back! I googled her name and find her back! I am on the phone with her!...
Oh my god, how all that is possible?.... I call her too... she was stuned, couldn't understand (not using facebook..) how suddenly old friends lost many many years ago were calling her on her cell phone... she was stunned and happy. Then we started to exchange email, she joined facebook, posted picture, etc... and here are more memories coming up!
Lola was THE reason of me doing some theater... She was acting on stage since the ag of 12 and was considerate as a great actor... One day, she comes to see me and tell me that I have to help her absolutly! I am her friend and cannot let her in the deep sh*t she is in... She had a fight with her acting partner and he decided to step out of the act... so I had to replace him!
"What??? When???"
"Tonight!... you have 6 hours to learn your text and your directions!...."
She had me repeating all day long, non stop... The evening came, I can even not describe how much I had the stage fright...At the moment to enter the stage, behind the curtain, I told her..."I can't..." She replyed.." OH sure you can..." and softly she took my hand in hers... and continued " It won't be painless, but in a couple of minuts you will be better"... Then suddenly she twisted my arm behind my back in a facst move, push me toward the stage and said "Here you go.." The surprise and the pain had me landing on stage with her in front of 600 people in a fraction of second.... She was right.. after a couple of minuts, I felt better and i forgot my stage fright...
I was 16, and she was 15... Here below are two picture that I never had but she posted them on her facebook... It was my first time on stage:

Isn't that funny?...With my sister we cannot believe it.. she is going to France next month to meet with her old friends now in Paris, and per "coincidence" the date of the meeting was set up on the 24th of April.... My Mom death anniversary.
My Mom always wanted us to be happy of course and she always wanted us to keep in touch with friends of the past, or always question how we don't find them back... There is no coincidences... I am convinced...
My siter is questioning how is that possible that in a short period of time all our past and childhood came back, like she said a "tsunami"...
I am telling that everything is orchestrated.. we are not the one pulling the cards here! This month of March is the month of our Birthday... I am born on the 2nd, she is born on the 18th... This is a gift to us, our birthday gift...She was still not convinced of the signs, well here is something else!
Two days ago, I woke up with the "sun in the eyes"... I dreamt all night about Niger, and Africa...
I sat in front of my computer, and decided to read a little about "my" country... So I go on Google, and I type "Niger", and then instead on clicking on "web" I mistakenly clicked on "Video"...
When the page opened, here was an old video of 1972... filmed during the visit of the French President Georges Pompidou to Niger... Even though I was only 7 years old at that time, I do remember that event like if it was yesterday...And my siter do too. The video is about the parade put together for the French President, and the departure of the French President just before he board the Presidential jet, surrounded by all the local French Officials, the Frencn Governements members and the Niger's President and his wife, Mr and Mrs Diori. It is a very old video, made I believe for the French television news program at that time.
So I posted it on Facebook of course and all our old friends from Niger started to comment about it, and re-memorate souvenirs, where they were during this event, etc... my sister was crying as well as me of course, because it brings back a lot to us.
And then I still have a question in my mind who's bugging me...: Why? Why this video came up this morning?... I googled many time about Niger, and it never came up, even if it was posted month and month ago... Of course this video is a piece of anthologia and history, and we see clearly in it, Hadiza's Mom and Dad, Mr and Mrs Diori Hamani, as well as Mr and Mme Pompidou, but...
So I watch it again, paying more attention to it, because I am thinking about something... There is no coincidence, and there is something in this video that I need, that we need to see...
Well I wasn't mistaken at all... the sign was there, in this video... it is very quick and furtive, but no mistake can be made about it...:
My Mom is in it...!
By the end of the video, at 6:29 and 6:33, she is the lady with the white dress, shaking the hand of the French Official accompagnying the French President... She was there, in line with all the other Local French Officials in Niger, to say good by and whish good trip to the President Pompidou and his wife Claude.
There is no coincidences... this sign was to tell us, my sister and I, that all the events who made this month of March was, the matter of facts, our birthday gift and that she was behind it...
I believe in signs, I believe in Angels....
