Oh La la !!!...

"L'exception Francaise" or "the French Exception"... This picture was just sold last week in New York at Christie's for more than... $91,000.00 !!!...

But who is she? Do you want to guess???

She is my country First Lady... Yes, not kidding, she is the French First Lady, the wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy de Nagy Bosca, Carla Sarkozy (Born Bruni-Tedeschi), Multi-multi millionaire in Euros, former world's top super model,

extravagant, eccentric and...

provocative,

often in (very) light suit, but partially dressed (when not posing naked)

Also famously recognised as a Pop Star Singer and composer (not bad at all actually...I even could say "very talented" since she made few millions of Euro on that career)

Ex-Girl Friend of Mike Jagger, Eric Clapton, Donald Trump, and... many more! (I am still not kidding!...)

Get sometime fully dressed, depends the occasion...

Did I said "partially" dressed too?...

But still knows how to represent her country on the official level even though she doesn't have one drop of French blood in her veins, and follow the rules of protocole with class and elegance,

in a very "fashionable" way

Can you tell it was her career before?

She is actually our second First Lady in less than a year, since our very ultra anti-conventional President Nicolas Sarkozy de Nagy Bosca came in power. Needless to remind that Mr Sarkozy de Nagy Bosca, is also our first President which is issue from immigration background, born in Paris from Hungarian Parents, who proved wrong his Dad which told him when he was a child, that he was going to grow up in a country where an immigrant or his child cannot be elected President (Not kidding either...).

He enter the Elysee Palace, on May 16th 2007 with his wife Cecilia (who doesn't have one drop of French blood either) and Family

Some of his children (two sons) from a first marriage, some of her children (two daughters) from a first marriage, and their young son Louis

Cecilia wasn't made for the public life, she said it before, she wasn't going to be the First Lady, and even voted against him in general election to make sure she wasn't going to pass the door of the Elysee... I guess her vote didn't helped! (Still not kidding...)

In August 2007, while vacationing with him in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, she embarrased her husband by refusing to meet with Georges Bush and his familly and skip the lunch offered by Laura Bush at their Maine's retreat. In September 2007, back in Paris, she filed for divorce and flew to New York (where she is now, her also, already remarried)

So here came Carla, who married Nicolas this year in February...

Definitely unconventional and definitely very different with the past and our former First Ladies

Bernadette Chirac

and Danielle Mitterrand....

But hey!... who cares? Do we, in France?... NO! People are only to be judge on their competence, not on their private life, and in fact she represents the country pretty well as a "fashion, Beauty and French Exception ambassador"... Doesn't she?

I wonder if this would ever happens in America? Not that I am really eager to see a naked picture of Laura or Barbara Bush... Ough!... LOL

Oh La La... Vive la France!...Ces Francais alors!!!....

The closest we ever came to a first lady of distinction was Jaqueline Kennedy. Although she was not Carla material, she did change the way women looked at themselves and at the First Lady. She did convey poise and elegance in a most unconventional way for those times. Unfortunately, since then, the First Ladies have once again represented frumpiness and they are once again hidden behind the "man's world"... :(

Thanks Philippe for this interesting insight into another country's way of looking at First Ladies.

Vicki,
your comment is VERY interesting since the media, and particulary the British medias, immediatly compared her to Jacky Kennedy... They even push a bit further by extending the Kennedy's comparison to the Sarkozy couple since Nicolas is extremly charismatic, modern and young, and want to change is country for the best bringing a lot of hope and refreshness in the French spirit. A lot of energy and new methods...
I am glad to receive some comment regarding this post from other countries views too, this is basically why I posted, but it seems that excepted you and Barbara, nobody who's usually read my blog dared to comment... Maybe afraid to be out of place?... don't know...
Thanks to both of you,
Philippe
